Routes of the architectural heritage and trees of interest

In the attached map you can see the two marked routes.

A first route takes as a backbone the road from Barcelona to Puigcerdà, leaving from the current Municipal Music School Claudi Arimany, the old slaughterhouse of Corró d’Avall. From the highway, different incursions are proposed in the territory through streets, roads and roads, and the route is completed upon reaching the chapel of Sant Iscle and Santa Victòria de Llerona. This route will allow you to discover the area with the greatest growth and transformation of the Franqueses and appreciate the most varied heritage elements, from modernism and eclecticism of the late nineteenth century to witnesses of Roman times preserved in the parish of Llerona.

The second route is structured on both sides of the Cànoves road as the central axis. Leaving Can Ganduxer, climb the road to the north until you reach Can Mateuet de Corró d’Amunt. This second route incorporates the greenest walk, through the agricultural area of the Franqueses, where shining testimonies of the rural Catalan architecture are conserved, with outstanding farmhouses of great ornamental wealth.

The information on the buildings that appear on these two routes can be consulted in the book Architectural heritage of the Franqueses of Lluís Cuspinera and Carme Clusellas, and they can also be complemented with the book Trees of special interest of the Franqueses d’Esteve Ribalta. It is advisable and it would be rewarding for the traveler to take the path to observe both the architectural and the natural heritage.

La ruta verda (The green route)

The green route of Les Franqueses del Vallès (PR-C142) is a 16 km long route where there are signposted vertically (with wooden supports and metal plates) all the franquejas farms, as well as the churches, the building consistorial and the tower of Seva, as tourist elements.
